NEW STUFF 5-21-08-------------------
Okay a Few months back i get a call out of the blue from a friend....he's really not a close friend but a friend in passing as we both tend to be very busy and just get to say "hi how ya doin? hows the family?" and thats it!
So it really caught me off guard when he called me and asked me to come down to see him about a small role in a movie he was making, i thought oh cool this oughta be fun to do a little movie thing.....i get to the address he gave me and its an upscale business office with all sorts of strange characters milling about reading scripts and spouting out the strangest most intense lines. I get to the office and a secretary immediately asks me for my headshots and resume?...I could do nothing but return a really dumb look and stuttered "uh...Brian called me...i was to meet him here today?" and she looked me over head to toe and scoffed " you can wait here" she told me and so I sat down and waited a long while as Actors went in and came out over and over and then when i was about to just leave my friend pops his head out shoots me a surprised look and says " hey man what're you doing waiting out here?" and so i followed him into a large room with an intimidating desk a video camera Dean Ronald, Brian Ronald and my friend Brian Pullido. at this point I'm still just totally dumbfounded by the whole legitimate nature of the situation and how in the World I got involved in this!
After a brief introduction i was given the setup of the scene and my few lines....i did the scene twice and again I'm struck with surprise because i got highly complimented on my acting ability ( an ability i have only used to get out of going to school when i was a kid....don't tell my mom!) and Brian extended his hand and said "your the only one thus far we have hired on the spot" at this point I'm a little numb from the whole deal so I probably came off a little "jerky" by accident.
Fast forward to Today.....i was invited out to the set to watch some intense scenes get filmed and it was waaaaay out in the desert at a 145 yr old mining/ghost town. It was the coolest thing to watch, The Movie is called "The Graves" written/directed and produced by Brian Pullido and starring Tony Todd (candyman, chuck), Clare Grant (black snake moan, walk the line), Bill Moseley(devils rejects, texas chainsaw massacre 2) and Randy Blythe ( lead singer of "lamb of god")....obviously its a horror flick and it was just one awesome experience to be a fly on the wall as the scenes came together.
Now I'm getting really nervous because I get to film my scene early next week.....I'm going to make Pauly shore look like freakin Deniro
EDIT: 5-28-08...7AM...I just got home from the Final Filming of "the Graves" ( my scene was the very last shot for the movie...go figure). I was present for the Bar/nightclub scenes in which the awesome band "Calebrese" played....awesome band and fun guys. Then it was off to Atomic Comics. The main characters of the film, two young and very easy-on-the-eyes comic nerd girls go shopping and yours truly played the Comic shop clerk....big stretch for me i know

anyhow i don't think i did so bad....after take 12 or so i started to get it

. And as soon as my scene was done it was a grueling wait for Brian to view the replays to make sure he had all that he needed...and Luckily he did, which sent a collective sigh of relief amongst the whole crew. I was only around for a day and a half of filming and it totally wore me out i cant imagine 5 weeks like the rest of the crew.....don't be fooled making movies is hard freakin work!

Clare grant "Megan Graves" and myself just after the last scene.

Myself, Clare Grant And writer/Director/Producer Brian Pulido.
